💯 Recommend extensions to your current guests that aren't already getting them.
Many of your current guests might think that extensions are only for younger women who want long mermaid hair and big, fat Pinterest braids. However, they don’t know what you know… not yet, anyway. You know long hair is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what extensions can do for a guests’ hair.
Seriously, 9 out of 10 people could benefit from extensions - they just might not know it yet.
Make it your job to do a little educating on all of the many ways that hair extensions can benefit a guest. Start talking with your guests during their consultation about what extensions can do for them. You already know their hair struggles because you’ve been listening to them at each visit. You know you can frame hair extensions as the solution to many different hair struggles.
Some guests may be all about it, you just need to mention it. Once they are on board you can do the consult, match hair, and get a deposit right then and there without a separate visit.
Other guests may take a few appointments to warm up to the idea, so take notes, listen to their hair complaints and reservations about the extensions and then be sure to follow up with them about it during future appointments.
Marketing extensions to guests that are already sitting in your chair works so well because, well, they're already sitting in your chair lol.
They know you, they trust you, they want your recommendations, and you have a solid relationship built already.
ACTION STEPS to implement this week to get more hair extension guests in your chair:
First, take a look at your book this week and look at who's coming in.
Now, take note of the guests who don't currently get extensions, but you know if they did, it would totally change their life.
Finally, challenge yourself to bring up extensions during their consultation. Make a few notes beside each name with how you think extensions might benefit them so you’re ready when they sit down in your chair.
